RED EYE (UK) SEASON 01

Jing Lusi and Richard Armitage star in a 6-part thriller set on the red eye flight from London to Beijing. After attending a conference and nearly dying in a car crash, Dr Matthew Nolan (Armitage) arrives back in London, only to be arrested and accused of murdering a Chinese woman. Despite protesting his innocence, Nolan is renditioned to China to face charges. DC Hana Li (Lusi) is the no-nonsense British-Chinese officer escorting Nolan. Her resentment for the assignment, and of Nolan himself, is immediate. However, when an incident occurs on-board, she suspects foul play. After a call from Head of MI5 Madeleine Delaney (Lesley Sharp), Hana finds herself embroiled in an escalating conspiracy. Hana’s sister Jess (Jemma Moore), a budding journalist, helps uncover the conspiracy on the ground in London. By the end of the series, Delaney breaks protocol, risking her career and her life to help Hana stay alive as they expose an international conspiracy.
